European Cup Matches This Evening: Manchester City v Bayer Leverkusen & More

League Table
It's the midway point of the group stage, so the rankings is beginning to form. All six English teams are currently in the top 12, but there are only two pts separating fifth and sixteenth place, so there's a whiff of snakes and ladders about the whole thing. Everything is to play for.

Early Match Updates
Just one goal during the opening period of the early fixtures. Dahl's sixth-minute sizzler has earned Benfica under Mourinho a 1-0 lead away to Ajax.
Newcastle’s Trip to Marseille
Although The Magpies traveled to the French south coming off their confidence-boosting two-one home English top-flight win against Manchester City on the weekend, and having defeated Union Saint-Gilloise, Benfica and Bilbao in the Champions League, their only away win since early April came in the Belgian capital at Union SG.
Not that Howe was overly keen to talk about the psychological aspect of this away form issue. “The European Cup is distinct from domestic games,” said the coach, whose team are sixth in the European table, with nine points from a possible 12 and automatic progression to the knockout phase nearly secured. “I don’t know if you can compare them.”
A dedicated live feed is available for Chelsea v Barcelona. Murray, the minute-by-minute equivalent of Maradona is on duty for that.
