Trump's Family Member Receives Expert Guidance from Tiger Woods Before Professional Golf First Appearance
This young athlete boasts impressive social media presence
Kai Trump will have multiple well-known backers as she begins her first LPGA appearance this Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be related to a former US president, obtained a sponsor's invitation to compete at the Annika tournament in Florida.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, owns numerous courses worldwide and frequently competes against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we play competitive games," she revealed.
Kai explained that Trump, who won't be present, told her: "Just stay calm."
"My grandpa practically advised me to go out there and relax," she explained.
"To me, he's simply a regular grandfather. He's not attending this weekend. He's focused on running the country, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
Being non-professional, Kai has participated in only three events this year and has position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
However she can get advice from Tiger Woods, who is dating her mother.
"He stands as the top athlete globally," Kai expressed.
"Furthermore, he's a superior human being. He suggested me to go out there, have fun, and go with the flow."
She'll challenge some of top competitors in professional golf at the Annika, including world number two Nelly Korda, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers mentioned that Kai's presence brings golf to new audiences, particularly reaching younger fans.
Kai maintains substantial online presence and just introduced a personal fashion and living company.
The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
