Two Charged Regarding Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Assault
Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a luggage theft where a suspected irritant spray caused injuries at London's Heathrow Airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and two counts of deploying a toxic agent, authorities have stated.
This legal action stems from an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Before the assault occurred, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after getting out of a car park lift, according to law enforcement.
A three-year-old girl was among those injured in the event. A total of five individuals required hospital care and were subsequently released.
This event – which authorities stated was not part of a series and not considered a terror-related act – led to disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
